Just tried it. I liked one of the presets; the one called Lively. But with a bunch of SD3, EZX, AD2, and premium Kontakt kits, considering that the free doesn’t have a rim shot, that it doesn’t completely follow the general MIDI spec, and that it only has two toms, I’m probably going to delete this one from my hard drive. If it had 3 toms, followed the general MIDI, and had rim shots, I would keep it. For those who are on a tight budget, this makes the cut. But since it’s no longer available for free, I won’t be including on the Best Kontakt Sample Libraries list. However, if it was made available as a permanent freebie, it would make my list. For free, it’s excellent. But if you’re a SD3 or even an EZdrummer user, this will fall short.
