NOTE: I own Signature 1 (now part of the Black Friday deal) and I love it. In fact, I’m using it on a couple of tracks I’m going to release soon, including a new version of No Surprises featuring a very talented lead singer (obviously, that means, not me!). Consequently, I enthusiastically recommend Signature 1. Signature 2 sounds great, but it’s hard to want to pick it up when it costs more than an SDx that’s on sale. Fields of Rock sounds great, but I didn’t plan on spending another $99. If it was $48 like the NY SDxs, I would easily have picked it up. I’d love to hear from other SD3 and EZx owners, especially those who own any of these titles or are thinking about picking any of these titles up. As usual, Best Service has the lowest prices on Toontrack titles.

1Singer-Songwriter EKX looks good, that Folk Rock MIDI too.
I was looking at the Singer-Songwriter EKX, but I haven’t upgraded to EZkeys 2 and I’m not sure it’s worth it to me. Having two upright piano libraries from Toontrack and several from other developers — including recently picking up Pianoverse Max, I probably have my bases covered. I was contemplating the Singer-Songwriter EZX, but I really don’t love the way the toms are tuned / sound (recorded, not mixed) and the demos all had the underlying same tom samples with different mixes. The heavily discounted Modern Metal EZX sounds great, but I’m not sure it would fit the music I do I may just pick up more presets from a very talented SD3 preset maker (this is his site: https://www.recreationmix.com/artist-presets). I recently bought a 10 pack of his presets, and I like them more than I like most of Toontrack’s factory presets. The guy is superb at making Superior Drummer presets. I highly recommend his presets.
