£10 off code MM10
https://www.gforcesoftware.com/products/minimonsta2/
FREE: Kontakt Libraries, Synth Presets Loops & Sound FX
TOOLS: Mixing Problem Solver, Songwriter's Toolbox, , QuickGuides, Gear Reviews, Mags & Podcasts
MM10. Works on a bunch of other stuff, including M-Tron Expansions.
You can also try IMP10 just to see. I think it’s expired though.
Thanks. I got Lament, the M-Tron Pro expansion by Venus Theory.
I got Dust-o-Tron 🙂
Sorry guys. I forgot the code for this one. Thanks for sharing the code (MM10) @MrFigg. It was from a GForce email. I did upgrade my M-Tron Pro to the M-Tron Pro V last week and was contemplating getting some expansions, so thanks a lot for the tip, @MrFigg. I’m going to go there now. I’m a HUGE fan of Mellotrons and Chamberlins.

These are the M-Tron Pro expansions I own. I remember that I wanted to pick some up the next sale, but can’t recall what they were. I’d love to know which ones are your favorites. I think the M300 is my favorite of the 3 I presently have:
The Streetly Tapes M300
The Streetly Tapes Vol 5
The Streetly Tapes Vol 6
FREE: Kontakt Libraries, Synth Presets Loops & Sound FX

Personally I’d go for the Artist Packs. Hainbach and Dust-o-Tron specifically. I find those Streetly tapes too samey. Choirs, violins, flutes.
The previous IMP10 code didn’t work on Lament so if you’re looking at that you’re good for a discount with MM10.
@Pseudopop is the Lament pack very cinematic or would it be usable in other stuff you reckon?
Thanks @MrFigg. I’ve been a huge fan of Pendle’s work since he first started selling sample libraries. So I’m listening to that one right now. Is Venus Theory’s pack any good? He seems to have a real talent for sound design.

Not sure man. I’m a bit wary of Lament just because it says a few times in the description that it’s aimed at cinematic compositions.
I just picked up Dust-o-Tron. I already wanted to get it next sale, and with @MrFigg’s stamp of approval, well there were too many factors going on for me to be able to stop the forces of nature at work pushing me in the direction of buying this! I love the old retro Tron sounds and most things that sound similar, and Pendle is very, very talented. I am a huge fan of his work and find a bunch of his sample libraries inspiring. So thanks again for sharing the code, @MrFigg, and letting us know that it works on the M-Tron Pro expansions.

In my esteemed opinion, it’s very cinematic. If you want to create sound textures or play foreboding chords that slowly fade in, this is your jam. There aren’t many agile instruments that would allow you to play fast melodies.
The demo tracks on the product page are a good representation of what you’ll find inside.

Thanks. Not for me then. Got the M300 bank instead.

BF20 brings the Oberheim bundle down from £300 to £180. A good deal but not yet at my 50% to-buy threshold.
Studio One, Windows, RME UFX, Yamaha MSP7
@MrFigg There was a time when you were helping — okay, attempting to help — me curb my spending on plugins and sample libraries. Now I look at your posts and it’s pretty much clear that we’ve both fallen off the wagon (and American expression when an alcoholic starts drinking again; and ftr, I’m not an alcoholic, but I definitely do have a plugin/sample library buying habit, and posting deals isn’t exactly helping me with it) and have some similar tastes, although I think you’re actually a guitarist, and while I played beginner guitar, my tendinitis makes that completely out, so I’m purely using guitar sample libraries.
Clearly M-Tron is one of our shared weaknesses. I love the thing. I was going to write that I’m a sucker for Tron libraries, but I’m also a sucker for piano libraries, for Wurly libraries, guitar libraries, bass libraries, acoustic drum libraries, glockenspiel libraries, and string libraries. I tend to not use synth, brass, woodwinds or full on orchestral libraries as much, so I’m significantly stronger in that area. For the most part — except for the strings — I’m going after the instruments in my home growing up that I loved to play and record on multitrack reel-to-reel and cassette.
Maybe I should create a forum or subforum for us to work on strategies for buying LESS stuff? I’m serious. If you want me to do it, let me know. Obviously, I would have a good deal of humility in creating and posting there, as I’m pretty terrible about managing my GAS. Except that I MOSTLY only buy inexpensive stuff when there are ridiculously good deals. Stuff like UAD Signature V2 for $124 back in August, Musio 1 for $179 on 2024 Black Friday (sure, it went lower, but I still think that was an amazing deal; now it’s only available for $399)…. What could we call this subforum? GASoholics unanimous? We could just use it to make a lot of jokes about this habit most of us share. Seriously. Let me know! We need to inject more fun into the site.

You’re welcome and yeah, just via the newsletter so could be a server issue of some kind. Perhaps try another e-mail, otherwise if there’s another code, I’ll post it here.
Thanks. That’d be great. I waited until this morning and the code has expired.

Haha. Yeah, we’re strong together. I’m not sure where my GAS has gone really. I have a few strategies which more often than not take away the impulse buy. Would you like me to list them? They may be of use :). And yeah, those Tron tapes are becoming an obsession. But they’re way too expensive I think. I wouldn’t mind so much if there wasn’t VAT on top and that the price is in £s.
