EDIT: As of today, May 26, 2025 this library is now free for one week, until June 8, 2025.

Minutes ago MeldaProduction sent their partners info on an upcoming release that won’t be out until May 26. It will temporarily be free (from May 26 until June 8). And I think it sounds very good and wanted to give everyone a heads up. Yes, it’s an exclusive. Now, if they stated that the release was embargoed until a specifc date, I would have kept quiet. But they didn’t do that and the videos are already on YouTube and a page can easily be found on their website, so I thought it would be fun for LinkedMusicians to get the scoop and I love the demos, so I’m personally going to grab this as soon as it’s released. (It will always be free for MSoundFactory or MSoundFactoryLE users; it will temporary be free for everyone from May 26 – June 8).

The info page linked is a bit confusing.  They say it is an Msoundfactory library that is free to owners of regular or LE versions.  I think all of their libraries are “free” for owners.  I own the Melda bundle, so I don’t know- If you get the one week “freebie”, do you get a “player” version of Msoundfactory to use it?

I agree, the product page is confusing (as are most of the MSoundFactory library pages).

It will always be free for owners of MSoundFactory or MSoundFactoryLE, however, it will be free for EVERYONE — including those who don’t own a paid version of MSoundFactory regular or LE — from May 26 – June 8. After June 8th, those who don’t own MSoundFactory regular or LE would need to pay $77 US or whatever the sale price is, to purchase it.

It’s — mostly (not the part about the free intro offer) — explained below the fold on the page:

“If you already have MSoundFactory or MSoundFactoryLE, Analog Empire: Plucks & Keys is completely free to download. You just need to run MPluginManager and run it. However you can buy it separately, and use with  the free version of MSoundFactory – MSoundFactory Player.”

I’ll modify my original post in this thread to attempt to better explain that.

That’s weird – I just updated MPluginManager and after the update I can see Analog Empire Plucks and Keys on the MSoundFactory page. So they seem to have published it early (I own MSoundFactory btw).

I am downloading it now (1.6Gb).

Seems like a great deal on the freebie for all @peter

Funny enough, I listened to it, and really was eager to get it, but I just assumed that because of the email and media kit they sent me indicated that it wasn’t released yet, that it actually wasn’t released yet! When did I become so trusting??? Haha. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll probably download it later today, I loved the sounds of some of the presets. If you have a chance, I’d love to get your thoughts on it once you have an opportunity to try it out. Just update it here.

Plenty of usable presets and that’s before I have tweaked anything.

Standouts are Cloud Fantasy, Plinky plonk, Iced swells, Chaos theory .. (probably more that I haven’t auditioned yet)

Wow, that was quick! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. That’s enough to inspire me to download it tonight! Although the reality is, I have a new SSD I need to install, so I’ll have to put this on an external hard drive. Not ideal, but I’m too eager to mess with it not to download it.
