Yeah,  you’re right that the $25 US voucher is only good for non sale items. So, as a Komplete 14 Standard user, this isn’t bad, but holding out until summer may get us 50% off on the update to 15. If there were a bunch of compelling libraries in the update,  I might do this, but NI has been focusing more attention on loops, and I almost never use loops, so I’ll wait it out for a better deal.

It is a great deal for those just getting Komplete for the first time.  For me, Kontakt is the most important plugin there is. As much as I love Superior Drummer 3 (not Toontrack as a company,  to be clear, but the product); if I could only use one plugin,  it would certainly be Kontakt and Komplete is a tremendous value, IMO.

Are you sure your Ultimate update is $599? For me it looks to be 399 (albeit in euros) without discount, and 319.2 on sale now. So 50% would be 199.

Looks to me that I’ll have to wait until next Summer though.

Well, now I’m not sure. Depending on where I look. I see these prices for K15 Ultimate update:

• $599
• $479
• $399
• $320

But I remember looking at my price about a month ago (when there was no sale) and it was $599.

I looked back at my K14 Ultimate purchase in June 2023 and I paid $199 for that. So maybe they’ll repeat next summer. Since none of the libraries are forcing us to Kontakt 8, I don’t really NEED it right now. Would I get $80 worth of use out of it over the next 6 months? Maybe…

Yep ill wait for summer of sound too

Normal upgrade price to K15U CE is 499€,

with this sale and coupon is 359,28€.

Expected summer of sound sale next year would be 249€… not taking that for granted though
