Singer, songwriter, and musician Donny Hathaway was born on this day in 1945. Hathaway had numerous hits including ‘Where Is The Love’ with Roberta Flack ‘Where Is The Love’, ‘The Closer I Get” and others. He was a highly influential singer. My favorite song of his was a cover of “A Song for You,” a masterpiece illustrating Hathaway’s tremendous talent that has sponsored generations of singers than came later.

One of my favorite songs of all time and favorite lyrics of all time, and favorite lines of all time: “I love you in a place where there’s no space and time” (written by Leon Russell).
