Nearly all of Softube’s plugins are fantastic. However, since I already own all three flavors of the Universal Audio LA-2A, it would be hard to justify needing another LA-2A.

Nearly all of Softube’s plugins are fantastic

They certainly sound great and cover a range of interesting devices however its important to note before parting with your hard earned cash that unusually for a well known brand their functionality and reliability is strictly restricted without guaranteed  support depending on your choice of  DAW.

For instance the universal device engine that they use for their devices does not offer full functionality on Bitwig and some of their products that I own like Modular have faced significant stability issues. I have had these problems confirmed by softube in an open support ticket that  that has been running for well over a year.

If thinking of buying into their software ecosystem  I would recommend dropping an email to their support first to see if your platform/DAW/software combination are fully supported without issue.
