The previous 28 days’ results represented a major month for the site. We saw our traffic grow to never seen before levels, and we’ve been seeing traffic increase by 50% or more month over month in the past few months. For the past 28 days, our traffic has increased by 51%. Our registered member traffic has remained relatively consistent. Traffic from search engines has increased a good deal. Our referrals have not really been moving the needle — you can change that by letting others know about this site. If you’re looking for what to discuss, of course, you can mention our excellent deals forum, our curated list of the best free sample libraries and plugins, our free articles from top industry magazines, and other free resources.

Average visit length for the site also increased by 21.5% and is presently at 6 min, 46 sec, which is very good. The average visitor returned around 15 times over the 28 day period, and it has increased in the last 7 days, where people have visited an average of 8x over a 7 day period, so people clearly like what they’re finding here.

As we approach Black Friday, my biggest concern is about the site resources, as I’m guessing we’ll see a major increase in traffic and the frequency of visits form our regular visitors. I don’t have the budget to spend on a CDN, but I’ll try to do what I can to have the site as ready as I can for the holidays, considering the budgtet.

[Edit] I had thought this site didn’t qualify for Cloudflare’s free tier because I use affiliate links (that’s the reality with most of the programs that offer a free service for hobbyist sites). But, after your post, I figured I’d use their chat and confirm that, and they told me that this site does qualify! So thanks. I will get us set up with Cloudlare. I already pay for an image optimization and caching service. I’m not sure how Cloudflare will impact that. But this good news. I had written off Cloudflare’s free service because, according to a tech I spoke with, it really wouldn’t benefit this site. But based on other companies telling me that the use of affiliate links disqualified LM from using the hobbyist offers, I had assumed that Cloudflare would do the same. But when you linked, I just decided to use their chat and ask, and it seems that this site qualifies for their free service, so I’ll look into getting set up.
