Studio Jam feat. Inge (local singer and friend)

I had the pleasure of hosting Inge, a local talent and friend. We had a great afternoon where we learned a lot about recording live with a singer. The creative part where we both constructed the jam was great to do. You could see the puzzle pieces coming together and the song taking shape. So thanks Inge for participating!

Things I learned: Check de mic levels. I had them pretty low as to pick up as less noise as I could (the speakers are on during recording), and although the recording came in pretty well, I had to turn it up (using compression) and that gave me some unwanted noise. I already figured out I can fix that with the release time of the compressor, so that’s a lesson learned.
