I have given the same advice in the past as well. Thenatan pumps out these plugins and then immediately abandons them at least as far as supporting and updating them. He still likes to flog them in frequent fire sales.

This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.

So do you guys think they’re so problematic I should avoid posting deals from this developer in the future? It sounds like it, I just want to get confirmation, as I personally haven’t used any of them, but I have seen positive posts praising them (back at Cakewalk Forum, not here).

@MrFigg Thanks. I just always want people to share the reasons WHY when they recommend against a developer.

I think it can be really valuable when people share negative experiences with a developer, retailer, manufacturer or service provider, and I want to make sure that LM is a place where people can be honest about their experiences, sharing them and their opinions without worrying about getting censored or attacked by a developer, the developer’s undercover contractors (see VI-Control), fanboys, or a forum owner worried about losing ad revenue from that developer.

If anyone here has had really good experiences with Thenathan, please speak up now. Otherwise, I think that I may stop posting deals from this developer. If anyone else wants to post deals from them, feel free. But — personally — I don’t want to help spread the word for sales for developers who appear to not be providing a good product or service.
