Thanks @MrFigg and @doug for sharing your experiences; they can be very useful to others researching this stuff to more fairly weigh customers’ experiences instead of people only praising stuff. I don’t own any of this developer’s stuff. I recall downloading some freebies years ago, but I don’t recall installing them. But I definitely recall seeing many people posting about Thenatan’s plugins having problems and poor support.

I have a few of the guys plugins. One of them was buggy as hell so I wrote to him…and then I wrote again…and then again. 5 times…even tried another few times on different addresses. Then, I got some sort of mass PM from him on the Cakewalk Forum. He’d sent it out to everyone. So I replied and asked him why he didn’t answer my mails. He replied that he hadn’t been very well but if I wrote again he’d fix things. So I did and he didn’t. Total crap.

I bought some of his early stuff which was pretty much garbage. He has a reputation of pumping out releases which quickly become abandonware. Fire sales are the norm for his plugins as well.

Just to be clear, I think everyone here appreciates you, @mustakatu! Especially me.

Mustakatu is experienced with managing digital and has been a phenomenal source of insights and expertise in helping optimize the site for the best user experience we can deliver. I eventually plan on putting up a page with our community volunteer advisors who have been really important in the development of this site, and that includes Mustakatu, @lamia6, @doug, @joegyork, @bluescat and others. @mustakatu was just shooting me over some really helpful insights a little while ago and I’m feeling especially grateful for his help and want to make sure that people are aware. This isn’t a one-man show by any means. I’m just the drummer, I think it’s more like I have the practice space, PA, and buy pizza for everyone for our rehearsals.  Mmmmm, pizza…. 🙂
