Forums › DEALS › Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals › Toontrack March Rocks Sale! EZXs as Low as $29! SDX for $84!
PETER’s HOT TAKE: As Superior Drummer 3 is my go to sampler for acoustic drums, and as a former semi-pro drummer, I am kind of obsessed with drums, plus, I was mostly a rock drummer (I also played jazz, R&B, blues, dance, and pop, but considered myself a rock drummer), it’s great to see Toontrack doing some great deals on regular rock, as opposed to metal, drum kits (I’m not knocking you metalheads, I was just getting jealous of so many great deals on metal drum kits month after month and the only rock kids they put on sale were often ones I already owned).
The prices at Toontrack direct and Best Service appear to be the same, but earn and can use Best Coin to lower the cost when you purchase at Best Service — plus, using our affiliate link helps support LinkedMusicians.

It’s rare, and the truth is, I don’t have any way of monitoring it, but every once in a great while, Thomann has a better deal than anyone on Toontrack stuff (historically Best Service have had the best prices most of the time). Thanks for the share @yan.
I just picked up an EZmix expansion around an hour ago from Best Service and used some Best Coin to lower the price. I see that Thomann has the EZXs on sale for $27 — $2 less than Best Service, but I don’t think Thomann has a loyalty cash program like Best Coin.
I just picked up an EZmix expansion right after i posted the sale. I forgot what the exact price was, I think it was $14 — on sale, of course — and I reduced it with Best Coin.
On a SDX related side note. I don’t know if you caught my recent posts about this, but late last year I discovered this superb SDX preset maker that has helped me buy less SDXs and EZXs, because he makes killer presets. Although he does a lot more metal than straight rock stuff (mostly what I look for, but I’d love some folk rock presets, but he doesn’t have any). If you haven’t heard of him, his site and YouTube channel is called Recreation Mix. I think the deal I got both times — regular price — was 10 SDX presets for $15. I thought that was fantastic for great sounding presets. I do a bunch of fooling around with swaping drums and cymbals — like I did in real life in my playing days — and putting on various compressors and effects, but I really don’t have any mixing skills, this guy is seriously good. Check him out if you don’t know him already:

I noticed the new SDX Drumopolis is missing from Thomann. Hopefully, they’ll add it. Also, I have been contemplating Legacy of Rock SDX since my last post.
