Because UNCATEGORIZED posts such as Warp: free plug-in from Baby Audio – LinkedMusicians don’t contain links and they cannot be replied to (so that users can add either links or feedback) they are of little value compared to what they could be; they just kind of come off as inept press releases.
Sorry don’t want to hurt feelings or step on toes but I think as implemented they could actually be stifling posts or conversations as for example I don’t want to recreate a post that already exists even if the original is sorely lacking.
Best regards
Steven

Wow, “they just kind of come off as inept press releases… even if the original is sorely lacking.,” that is one brutally savage, negative take down on Sound On Sound’s reporting.
What you were looking at is Sound on Sound’s excerpt of one of their articles that comes from their RSS feed (note the SOS logo in the photo). It’s my bad that it was easily seen on the site, as I was just testing out the feed. I had explained it in a post. I do need to remove it. It accidentally got picked up in a module that’s only supposed to show blog excerpts. I made a thread about this weeks ago so people understood what it was. The feed will feature links to their respective sites when they are set up; again, I was just testing them out.
I posted this a couple of weeks ago, but I’m going to be adding feeds from Sound on Sound and other publications, blogs, YouTube channels to a section of the site so that members can easily peruse the latest info. It won’t be part of the forum.
LinkedMusicians Founder. Your friend who keeps the beat.
Check out my music.
Sorry but never saw the discussion, just the blog posts themselves.

No not really, as what is presented is just SOS’s news item headline from
SOS News Feed not the news itself, so it is lacking content/detail.
Even as is, if the LM posts had the ability to allow readers to post comment on them they would be a lot more useful.
Probably didn’t come off that way but I was not trying to be negative just to provide some honest feedback and suggestions on how I thought you might be able to remedy or improve things.
I look foward to seeing how things will evolve.
Peace out,
Steven
