Forums › ANNOUNCEMENTS, FAQs, IDEAS, ISSUES, & FEEDBACK › Official LM Polls › What CONTENT would make LinkedMusicians more valuable for you?
The following is a list of forums I plan to introduce at LinkedMusicians in the next several weeks. Please check any of the forums you find of interest and share your thoughts in the comments below.
We are music makers, music producers, engineers, songwriters, musicians, singers, composers, engineers, and mixers. Buying DAWs, sample libraries, plugins, and production libraries is simply the outcome of that.
I created this community as a passion project. To take what I’ve learned from decades of running websites and online communities and create an environment about something I love, music. Deals are fun, and an important part of the site, but it’s the purpose that we buy them for that excites me: music creation.
As the site matures and our community starts to grow, I can really use your input on how to make this community more valuable to you. I would ask those who only care about buying stuff (deals) to sit this one out. I’m not asking how to expand the deals content. What I do is share with you some things I plan on introducing in the coming weeks and get your thoughts on what you would find of greatest interest. There’s a poll below, but I’d love for you also to share your own thoughts on what you think — beyond the deals — would make this community more valuable for you.
The poll lists the various forums I plan on rolling out to LinkedMusicians in the next several weeks. Each forum would include a subforum focused on
– free (and paid) tutorials, with curated lists of the best (I’ve already started to assemble lists to get us started and am looking to the community to grow those lists)
– great external resources
– curated lists of the best videos and print interviews with experts on the topic
– examples of great work and fails for discussion

I wanted to start the Music Audio Production Forum out with a thread focused on FREE resources. The idea is that we (the entire LM community) focus our knowledge of resources we find recommendation-worthy in one thread. Free video tutorials, free books, etc. This wouldn’t be plugins, as we have a forum for that. It would be about Music Audio Production training resources (someone chime in if you can think of a better name for that or anything else I’ve mentioned).
It’s important to keep things well-managed so that people can easily find what they’re looking for all in one place rather than seeing a serious of random posts all over the place.
