I created the Early Adopter Group for posts related to issues, but I’ve since thought I should create a subforum, so I’ll do that. Can we take it there. But to address the question, it appears that the edit function has disappeared. My guess is that it’s related to the media plugin I recently added. It’s strange because I was able to edit after…Read More

@bapu the ability to comment and edit appears to be restored in Groups — except for posts with media that were made previously with the plugin I de-activated and replaced. Let me know if it’s the same for you.

I have to go pick up pizza for the family right now, but will look into it later tonight.
Also, I’ve decided that an even better place to report, organize and for me to respond to issues with the site is in the Forum, so I created this subforum:…Read More

Also, it just hit me. I just turned of and replaced a plugin that causing issues with posts not allowing replies or editing, that could have caused the problems you just reported. Could you try and do all of those things again and see if they now work and report back your results here? (We can use the subforum for future issues, let’s see if we…Read More

lm home logo/link should be permanently placed, but it scrolls away with the lh nav, it should be fixed position somewhere

the left-hand nav is ugly (get rid of the visible scroll bar?) and a big bit of whitespace (tho black in dark theme) around the logo at the top

MORNING UPDATE
We’re at 28 members, but one is my test account and one an account for one of the developers, so it’s really 26 members.
I don’t have a way of doing stickies at the moment because I lost an important plugin due to errors — and the theme developer told me that he’s releasing an update today, so hopefully, I can install that…Read More

New rule. To use this forum, I’m expecting registrants to at least register with their real first name, not a joke name or their registration will get bounced. I’m not going to allow it. I get that a lot of people are very concerned about their full name being used, that’s fine. But not even using your first name and talking in code about it.…Read More

If @cclarry and @superrabbit found that some of their posts were not going live, it was the moderation system (actually I’m not sure if it stopped them from going live or just made an alert). Anyhow, I’m just learning how it works and it’s flagging stuff way too easily. So I’m making adjustments. Just be aware if you ever have posts that don’t…Read More

Comparing to the other forum, I think the economy of data presentation is pretty similar (a good thing) except for two things I have noticed so far.
1) Here there is no apparent indicator that you have read a topic (is there?), whereas it is dimmed over there. Easy to scroll over the stuff you already read when you are taking more time later for…Read More

The reality I face on the read topics functionality — because I did think about it early on when planning the site and looked — is that the only viable solution I know of is a plugin that costs $250 US a year to do this (the plugin has other capabilities). Every other plugin is 10 years or more old and that presents serious security and…Read More

Thank you Peter! And for your (Pete’s) sake. Go to bed! I am on the left coast, and I am logging off shortly. I think it is all working really well. I even switched over to dark mode and it is awesome too (I prefer light, but it is really nice to have the option). I even looked at the site on my phone yesterday and it was excellent. I only…Read More

Hey Brian, it just occurred to me. There is something about the left hand navigation panel that may not be clear to everyone: that when you click the arrow at the bottom of it, it narrows. I don’t love the way the developer executed it (it would be cool if it used say the fav icon for the logo, for example), and I definitely plan on giving him…Read More

Idea / Suggestion
We all have signatures over in the forum. You can use yours to share what instruments you play, if you sing or have audio engineering skills. You can also list what names you use or have used at other forums if you’re using a different one here so that people recognize you.

This site has only started to get traffic — only 200 -300 unique visits a day and a lot of that comes from the NI subreddit from the post I made there about my list of free Kontakt libraries (BTW, we TEMPORARILY lost the ability to do anchor links — when you make your text into a hyperlink — when I removed a plugin that caused problems with the…Read More

Some quick minor feedback. The ‘Edit’ and ‘Share’ buttons appears to be vertically misaligned – I’d post a screenshot, but I either can’t or don’t know how to. After clicking ‘Edit’, the ‘Cancel’ and ‘Save’ buttons that replace it are also vertically misaligned. I’m using Edge on Desktop.

Yep. It’s the same on Chrome on Windows and Android and I knew this after I install it, it’s just that I couldn’t find an alternative plugin, so I accepted it. Unlike the forum app, there are a lot more developers making plugins for this. If I had several thousand dollars to invest in the site there is a good alternative. But I can’t afford t…Read More

I didn’t realise they were all separate plugins, but knowing this I understand why they might look a bit different.

Please know that when I’m explaining, I absolutely don’t want to discourage you or anyone from reporting things, I want you to. I just am sharing the realities of this site with you so that your expectations for what I can get fixed are realistic. Hmmmm- I just checked in on CW and found a few locked threads of “Livingroom Rocker” Looks like he is running some scripts that get carried away. Oh well- I am enjoying the adventure here in our new digs. Still occasionally opening the wrong door when I am looking for the bathroom, but I will get the hang of it soon enough.

Ha! I visited the Cakewalk Forums (via Chrome Incognito) and saw those posts. They’re extremely robotic — like a bot. There’s no sign of a real person making those posts. I think it kills the readability of the forum. We have the one — the only — Deals GOAT, cclarry. In your face trust fund billionaire kid! You can’t buy cclarry or replace him…Read More
