LinkedMusicians started the topic 8Dio Intimate Studio Orchestra $69 Regularly $199 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
PETER’S TAKE: This is a killer deal. I own Intimate Studio Strings — it wasn’t anywhere near this cheap when I bought it maybe 5 years ago. It’s a lovely-sounding library as you can hear from the demos. It has a different sound than any of my other string libraries, so that’s appreciated. Like everything from 8Dio, it’s a very detailed sample…Read More

We’ve been getting hammered today by the bots. We have anti-spam measures on the registration form, when users post anything — but they stop bots, not humans who are spamming. We’ve never had any day where we’ve had so many spammers join the site and spam. Granted, you may not think the number is high, but we had around a dozen spammers get…Read More

Due to popular demand, we’ve updated the instrument to give you more cowbell.
Here are the changes:
- Ability to disable the automatic playing and now manual playing is allowed. Discouraged, but allowed.
- An additional five more cowbells added. They don’t have 1,000 round-robin like the initial one has, but still have over 20.

I’m not really into metal though I was a fan of AC/DC until Bon Scott died. They were never the same for me after that. I also like Deep Purple and Rush – though the latter are probably more prog than metal.
I was initially confused by you asking whether Marmite were a sponsor of the article until I read what I had written again. It’s a British…Read More-
I grew up on all of those bands and a lot more. But I became an AC/DC fan with the “Back in Black” album as a teeen. Deep Purple, I loved them since I was a little kid and saw them as teen. I saw Rush live twice back in the 80s and 90s.

I think the writer makes some very good points and I’d be intrigued to hear what the orchestra does.
On a much smaller note –…Read More
