Forums › DEALS › Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals › 📢 The LM Deals Forum 2.0 Is In The Works and I Can Use Your Input
We’re working on taking our deals forum to the next level. We’re still going to rely on our members to share deals and indie developers to post their deals, but cutting and pasting from emails and various sources is laborious chimp work that can and should be automated where possible. It doesn’t add much value. What adds values are insights not cut and pasting deals.
As I work with a developer on the next generation of the Deals forum (the projection is that this will be implemented before fall and possibly much sooner), I can use your input on instructions for the (AI) criteria for selecting when a deal is good enough to post here. First, the tool is only going to post deals from a list of quality developers (yep, that means developers like Aria or Muze won’t make the cut), I can really use your input on this one. When I post deals, in general, I don’t post deals with discounts of 20% or less unless the developer has a history of not discounting much above that number. But now, I need to create a rule for this tool with the criteria for which deals to grab and post that includes which brands to grab and the minimum discount percentage for a deal to be posted. Granted, I realize that there are developers like FabFilter where I’ll need a custom rule, however, for most developers, I need to set the minimum discount percentage when a deal is selected. Is it 30%, 35%, 40%? If it’s set too high, we’re not going to see many deals. If it’s set too low, we’re going to be hammered with deals. So what do you think should be?
