Native Instruments: 2025 Summer of Sound Sale – 50% OFF – LOWEST PRICES at Best Service
Native Instruments once a year Summer of Sound Sale is the time most of us long-time customers wait to buy upgrades for Kontakt and Komplete at 50% off. I think I’ve been a customer since the first or second major version of Kontakt.
As I’m updating to Komplete 15 Standard, I was checking prices. I found Best Service to have the lowest I’ve found. (Of course, if anyone can beat it, please share!). If you’re updating or upgrading, you probably received a coupon code to get a 10% discount IF you spend $300 OR more and purchase directly from NI. However, Best Service is still going to be slightly cheaper. To get an example of the savings from buying at Best Service, I’m probably buying Komplete Standard Update (I’m extremely tempted by the Collector’s Edition, but my budget is telling me Standard). It’s $99 US at Native Instruments and $ 89.02 US at Best Service.
As always, if you can find a better price, please share it in this thread!

By the way, before I made the above post, I checked a bunch of online shops that resell Native Instruments software, including Plugin Boutique, JRR Shop, Sweetwater, Musicians Friend…Best Service’s prices are the lowest, even when using JRRShop’s discount code, and not even factoring in if you use Best Coin — or the value of getting Best Coin on the purchase.
SIDE NOTE ON MSD PRICE COMPARISON SITE
I ran a check at MSD, which has been getting progressively worse at price comparisons, as they’ve pulled out a lot of the stores from their price comparisons on products / plugins. I forgot which shop, but I think it’s owned by the same guy who owns or owned VSTBuzz. Affiliate marketing price comparison sites are one of the most popular category of solopreneur sites in the last ten years. It’s been a money maker for thos who can attract high volume. (Yes, we have tons of content here, but because we have a small community, the affiliate links don’t even bring in enough to come close to paying for a fraction of the costs of running this site). MSD has been pulling out shops from price comparisons. The result is that they’re no longer a very useful site.
Here’s what I believe is what’s going on there. Different stores pay different commission rates to site owners. The smaller shops — or even big shops that are aggresively attempting to grow their market share — tend to pay HIGHER commission rates than the established players in order to bring in more sales. In the current case, where I was price checking Komplete versions, it only showed me prices for Gear4Music — a shop I’ve never heard of — and Sweetwater. I did more searches and found that they still had Plugin Boutique and PluginFox, but the site has become a mess and the price histories we’re there and unified for the various stores. I was contemplating adding a price comparison and price history function here, and even paid for some tools already, but I’ve put that on pause.

Considering the popularity of Native Instruments and their Komplete bundle with our community, I’m contemplating sticking this thread. The best prices I’ve found are at Best Service, plus you can use your Best Coin to bring down the price even lower (and earn additional Best Coin). As always, if anyone can beat the price post it. So far, JRRShop comes the next best prices to Best Service. However, if you have Best Coin, Best Service is even a better deal. In my case, with the lower sale price plus my Best Coin, Best Service’s price is around 10% lower than JRRShop’s price; plus it earns me additional Best Coins for future purchases.
I still haven’t decided whether I’m going to go for the Komplete 15 Standard or upgrade to Collector’s or Ultimate Edition. Beyond Kontakt 8, I’m not super excited by any of the new sample libraries NI added to the Standard version (I presently use Komplete 14 standard) and I almost never use loops or the Play libraries. Session Percussion seems mildly interesting. I’d primarily be updating for Kontakt 8 if I get the Standard version. But the additional libraries in the other versions absolutely interest me.
I’d love to get your thoughts on the version of Komplete 15. Is there anything new that really interests you? What are your thoughts on the new version of Kontakt?

On the “other” site Deals forum, we learned Alicia Keys (piano) was going for $10 at Plugin Boutique.
If you have it, Komplete Standard is only $200 (Kontakt 8, Massive X, Guitar Rig 7 Pro and Battery alone are so worth it).
Now that I have lots more of experience, to me neither Ultimate or Collector are worth it.
If you need an orchestra, Cubase 14 Elements has Iconica Sketch and it sounds marvelous. (Halion library, which can be loaded in any DAW).
I will probably get Standard and the Icon Bass.

You bring up a good point, @lastcall. Upgrade pricing for people who don’t own the full version of Kontakt.I know that NI no longer provides upgrade pricing just for having a free Kontakt Player instrument as it appears they once did. On the NI site, it states, “”The free KONTAKT PLAYER alone does not qualify. Nice link Peter.
And yeah, Standard comes with lots of pianos too, that’s a great bonus. For $200 Standard is great.
Ofc there will be people who find a lot of value on the upper tiers, but I would suggest those guys to listen to a lot of demos before purchasing.
All those expansions to me mean nothing, but probably will be golden to some.
The Cremona bundle can be had for $330 instead of having to doll out $1000 extra for the Collector tier, if you were into orchestral stuff.
And Pharlight and all those kind of libraries are so niche, I think.
Scarbee basses were removed too… (only Rickenbacker remains).
I upgraded my Komplete Standard 14 to 15 via BestService and am actually really impressed by the improvements to Kontakt 8. I have been watching the Groove3 videos on K8 and learned a lot. The new Chords, Patterns, and Phrases features are pretty fun and it is much easier now to layer instruments. I haven’t played much with the other new and upgraded stuff in Komplete 15 but for me, the upgrade to Kontakt 8 was worth the $89.
This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.
Thanks for the note about Groove 3 @Doug. I have so much stuff added to my Groove3 watch list… I forgot about that one. I got a S61 MK3 last year that (as it should) works well with K8.
If you buy the Standard update at Audiodeluxe with the Memorial Day coupon it is like $89 and some change and you get Softube Bad Speaker and Deluxe Bucks. Seemed the best deal to me.
Tangled roots perplex her ways.
One of the fun things I love seeing is when it becomes a game of beat the posted deal! (Okay, it’s less fun when someone posts a better deal just after you buy something!)
Comparing the two deals, Best Service includes UJAM Beatmaker Vice for $89.02 and let’s you use Best Coin to further reduce your price. (I have, I believe, something like $5.32 in Best Coin, which is like the cash equivalent reducing my price) plus the purchase earns $2.97 in Best Coin towards your next purchase. There’s no end date
BEST SERVICE: On sale for $89.02 US. If you have and want Best Coin — it further reduces your price (for me, it reduces my price to just under $84 US) plus you earn $2.97 Best Coin towards your next purchase and get UJAM Beatmaker Vice for free.
Audio Deluxe: Has a memorial day coupon that works until the end of day tomorrow, which reduces their price of $99.50 US to $89.55 (personally, I have the equivalent of $3.82 in their version of what Best Coin has), plus you get Bad Speaker.
Basically, it comes down to which free software you like better — if you buy by tomorrow night. After that, Best Service will be $10 cheaper.
For anyone who can’t decide between the two deals and wants to help with the costs of operating LinkedMusicians, I have an affiliate relationship with Best Service, and if you use the above link, you’ll get the same low price, but they’ll give a percent of the sale. Basically, it’s very much like performance-based advertising or a sales commission. This and the merch are the only means I’m presently using to get help with the costs of running the site and email services. To share the specifics, if you use the above affiliate link for Best Service, 7% of the before-tax sales price will go towards LinkedMusicians. For example, if you buy Komplete 15 Update for $89.02 and DO NOT USE Best Coin (which would reduce the sale price) — LinkedMusician would get back $6.23 that would go towards the site and email costs.
To anyone who wants to use the Best Service link and NOT use it as an affiliate link, that’s your right and it’s super easy to do. I admit, when I see people using affiliate links who I don’t feel are deserving of the commission, I’ll strip out the affiliate code. You can do that by copying the URL and pasting it into your browser address bar. Before hitting enter, delete the question mark and everything after it. You’ll go to the same page and get the same price, but the site won’t know that you were referred by LinkedMusicians, so nothing will go towards LinkedMusicians.

The extra 10% at Audio Deluxe that brings its price in line with Best Service ends tomorrow night. Native Instruments’ Summer of Sound Sale and Best Service corresponding sale prices end on June 30, 2025. I know this well, because I’m going to be buying either Komplete 15 Standard Update or the Collector’s Upgrade. I’m extremely tempted by the latter. The only thing holding me back is that it’s beyond my budget.

Just mentioning that if you ever got Soniccouture – Estey Reed Organ, it appears to qualify for the Kontakt discount. It was free at some point, just can’t remember when.
Those Massive and Massive X presets are the cheapest I ever seen. Defo scoopin Spectrum Quake, and likely Mechanix.

I’m not kidding. That Soniccouture organ is on the top of my Kontakt Player libraries when I open Kontakt, but somehow, I remembered it as the Etsy Reed Organ! After your post I looked it up, and indeed confirmed that Estey is the brand of the organ that it was not an organ bought from Etsy (postage would have been ridiculous!).

It was a free Christmas gift in 2016. Wow almost 10 years ago.

So many of us use Komplete, I’m thinking about pinning this while the sale is running. I’m sure that it will save people some money who otherwise would end up purchasing their Komplete updates from NI or another retailer and paying more than the best price listed in this thread.

Good idea @peter
I would just add that I will be leaving my K15U update until the last few days of June. The reason being that I noticed, in the past, that NI sent me an additional voucher to sweeten my upgrade deal near the end of the offer period. I’m not saying that will definitely happen this time, but I’d say it’s worth waiting to see.
I also regularly login to my NI account and check my deal, add it to my cart, then delete it, so that anyone from NI who’s checking, should see that I’m interested in the upgrade but I might need a final incentive to push me over the edge 😉

It’s a decent strategy that I use on a lot of things and a good tip to share with the community. It’s pretty common for retailers to send out offers to people who abandon items in a shopping cart for an extended period of time.

AudioDeluxe now has a 10% sale using code SUMMER10. Again, this brings it in line with Best Service (both earning you $6 in Best Coins or Deluxebucks) but you also get your choice of freebies: Zynaptic’s Orange Vocoder Nano (normally $49) or UAD’s PolyMAX Synth (also free on UAD’s website). Depending on how many coins/bucks you have in your account, AudioDeluxe may save you a few $$.
Studio One, Windows, RME UFX, Yamaha MSP7

What he didn’t disclose is that the code is an affiliate code so he makes money off every sale. Which in the US, not doing the required disclosure is a violation of FTC regulations (I plastered two notices on the site so I wouldn’t have to constantly worry about it when I and others post them). Just know this guy doesn’t do the basic disclosures required. Native Instruments only deals with influencers with big reach. It’s a pretty exclusive affiliate marketing program targeted towards successful influencers. A code like this is likely to be spread very far and can be very profitable for the influencer. If NI is paying out 10% – 15% of the sales to their influencer affiliates, that can easily get into the tens of thousands of dollars for their Summer Sale for a YouTuber.
The official LinkedMusicians account
Point taken Peter 🙂 I am aware that these guys are getting a cut from those codes, BUT 10% off to me is still… 10% off 🙂 NI still might put out a better direct offer in the last week. Best Service too, if they can resurrect in time!
I think this is the year I grab the Komplete Ultimate 15. As much as I’m trying to watch my budget, there’s sooo much in there that I want that I suspect that I’d end up buying — and it costing a lot more money. Will it stop me from other purchases? I don’t think I’ve spent more than $100 on plugins and sample libraries this year. I did go overboard for on Black Friday last year. For stuff that’s mostly still in unredemed serials at BestService! And yeah, I’m waiting it out too. Same logic as you. We’ve done this so many times, we know the drill!

@peter I think that’s also my plan – to splurge on the KU 15 update and not get anything else for the rest of the year.
I have been very restrained so far this year. Plus I plan to offload a bunch of iLok stuff on KVR/Knobcloud soon (mostly Eventide and UVI) which should help fund the update.
NI just sent me a personal incentive code as I expected, but it’s only for 5% off and you cannot stack codes, so I will probably go with one of the 10% off codes (Simeon’s PRAISE10 still works fyi).

Yep, I agree. I’m looking forward to summer extending far beyond June 30th – in fact, until Sept 22 in the Northern Hemisphere. Even so, I need to make my decision on which version of Komplete I’m going to buy this weekend. There are a number of libraries I really want in the Ultimate Edition. I really love Galaxy Instrument’s work, so I have been thinking about Piano Colors since they introduced it. Pharlight and Straylight sound very cool (I have no idea if I’ll use them, but they sure sound beautiful to my ears). Mallet Flux sounds nice. I’m not big into using loops, but sometimes when I’m too lazy to come up with my own rhythm parts (I’ll either use Evolution’s strum keys live or the strum engine), I’ll use Session Guitar for rhythms (not leads, Evolution guitars are leaps and bounds more realistic and their scripting and combinations of modeling with sampling achieve what Session Guitarist cannot do). So, the Ukulele appeals to me and the Acoustic Sunburst could be useful (I just use basic strums; I find the patterns with riffs in them useless; I want to create my own riffs, not use stock ones). Session percussionist and there are three Abbey Road titles I don’t have — the one that interests me most is Abbey Road Vintage Drummer.

Well, don’t miss out, as it does appear to end on June 30th.

I own NI Komplete 15 Standard Edition, and I’m strongly considering Ultimate Edition, even though I really shouldn’t. With an additional 10% off from NI the price is $269.55 US:
Subtotal $299.50
Discount- $29.95
Order Total $269.55
BEST SERVICE:
Komplete Ultimate Upgrade NOW: $268.85

While the price at Best Service is only slightly cheaper, it earns $7.47 in Best Coin for your next purchase plus, if you have Best Coin, you can further reduce the price. In my case, I also have around $4 in Best Coin, so my final price is a little more than $8 cheaper than buying from NI directly. Although when I purchase, it doesn’t earn an affiliate commission. I don’t recall what the commission is for NI products, but because these are more expensive purchases, even if it’s 3%, it really helps with the costs of LinkedMusicians.com, so I’d be super grateful for anyone who wants to help with the costs of the site while still getting the best deal I know of.

For anyone wondering about Plugin Boutique’s pricing for Komplete, it’s the same as NI’s, but the 10% discount code for NI makes it cheaper, and, as I already stated earlier, Best Service has the best prices of all.

I just made my purchase. It was way over my budget. But I bought Komplete Ultimate (upgrade from Komplete 15 Standard) from Best Service (the link is in the original post). I’m especially looking forward to Piano Colors and Pharlight and Abbey Road 70s and Vintage Drummer, as well as a bunch of other libraries. I suppose I’ll soon be selling a bunch of NI libraries I bought separately from Komplete Standard that are in Regular. I don’t think I’ve ever sold a straight sample library before, just a plugin maybe a decade ago. But I’ve bought stuff second hand.
