Six String Audio Updates Ultimate Rock Guitar FREE

I tested a lot of sample libraries that didn’t make the cut for my best free sample libraries for Kontakt list. This is a free electric guitar sample library, and it would have made the cut, but it constantly played notes that the user doesn’t play and had some other issues. It was a shame, because it was clear that the developer used a lot of samples to make the library and was giving it away free to establish his business. Hopefully, he fixed the issues. I’ll install the update and give it another try during the week ahead. If he did and the library now works without issues, I’ll happily add it to the list.

Just updating the instrument to 1.7, it couldn’t find a lot of samples. Then reading the manual of the update, I found the link for the samples from update 1.6.

I got the strong sense that whoever put that library together was very inexperienced at creating Kontakt libraries and at scripting. I’ve advised several different guitar library sample developers / plugin developers over the years. When I installed and played that library, I thought the sampling seemed decent, but putting together the library and scripting in Kontakt was a mess. The developer should have used a more capable contractor to do that work. That is what a lot of the developers of guitar libraries do.
