We appreciate your loyalty and are happy to return the favor. This special Pricing only until November 9th.  Regular upgrade from Unify V1: $69 | Retail for Unify 2.0: $149.

PRE-ORDER ONLY — Unify 2 will be available for Download on October 24th!

Ilio Unify V1 owner without a PlugInGuru License, contact us.

Just some of the MANY updates and upgrades coming to Unify 2.0:

      • Totally re-designed user interface with layers that are more flexible and provide more helpful information.

      • New GuruSampler 2.0 has 3 Envelopes, 3 LFO’s, upgraded filters and everything is PER VOICE. Almost anything can modulate almost anything PLUS we now have single-sample IMPORT so you can easily get your own samples into Unify 2.0.

      • New StepSequencer with tons of controls for creating fun sequences directly inside of Unify 2.0!

      • New PLAY Page where the Layers and faders go away and you are left with macro knobs and beautiful imagery to inspire you.

      • Built-In Recorder now can capture your performance as Audio + MIDI and can be a stereo mix or stems from every Layer in your Patch. The Metronome can play any Unify Patch as a metronome so you can now practice or perform to things far better than just a click! Oh, and The Metronome is saved PER PATCH so you have a extra Unify in every Patch to open up ideas we haven’t even thought up yet!

      • The Metronome is its own masterpiece. Every patch hides a Unify plug-in, unlocking endless possibilities. In Unify 2, it has its own library—from basic clicks to any drum groove patch—and we’re loading it with tons of grooves. A wild idea that’s turning into something special.

      • Audio In/out and MIDI out AND individual audio output assignments for every Layer lead to all sorts of incredible mixing and surround sound opportunities. Route a whole band into Unify if you want and record the mix with added mastering plug-ins if you wish.

      • a BONUS library called “The SuperMega V1 Sampler” that gives you a healthy taste of 27 libraries we’ve released for Unify V1 which adds 7 GB of samples to the Unify Standard Library!

When I read about the ‘totally redesigned user interface’, I honestly hoped for something different. I’ve always liked the concept of Unify, but in practice, the GUI has felt too bulky, outdated, and dark for me. I’ll still consider the upgrade though, looking forward to Skippy’s upcoming videos about its new possibilities. Here’s the first one:

That mirrors my initial thoughts too. I was hoping for a more modern, attractive looking GUI but it’s looks very similar to v1, which I find functional but not massively easy to use nor appealing.

Guess I’ll be waiting for a deep sale.

Upgrade ordered. I’m used to the interface so not too concerned about that. I use it for jam sessions, it’s great being able to instantly load up synth patches with effects in one slot in Cantabile.

I wasn’t going to update right away because I think they pricing of newer libraries is too high.  Unlike Unify, the libs do go on sale pretty regularly for about half price though.  I decided to go ahead with the 2.0 upgrade preorder because most of the new features I am interested in will make the existing libraries that I own more useful.  I also generally appreciate the way Skippy runs his business.

The UI could really use an overhaul, but I am not surprised that they are sticking with the old format.  If you have not been following Plugin Guru News, Shane Dunne, the programmer of 1.0 left the project last year and the new dev is Paul Carter of Wavesequencer Hyperion fame.  Hyperion is an amazing, deep synth,  using a modular approach that may be a shift for “traditional” soft-synth users.

Would love to see Unify available at Tracktion like Paul Carter’s other work.
