I just added a chord and scale finder tool to LinkedMusicians this morning. It’s under KNOWLEDGE HUB in the left-hand navigation menu. At the moment, it only displays properly in light mode, but we’ll get it working in dark mode soon.

Thanks, I’ll pop a post over there. The second album ‘Night Call’ has a darker edge to it, taking some of its cues from ’80s/90s synth bands and brought right up to date. Soundwise, there’s elements of The Cure, Depeche Mode, Editors, Verve, Radiohead etc.

The surprising thing about seeing McCartney performing live is just how many songs we do know. I grew up after they’d already split up, and have very few of their albums, yet I know the words to many of their songs, which says a great deal about the quality of their songwriting. I’ve been preparing for our very first Love Music Hate Racism gig tonight in York – the original one 🙂 – we sold out a couple of weeks ago so it is going to be busy on the door!

Following on from my gloomy post earlier, early signs for the next gig being saved seem positive as the venue manager seems to have understood that the situation leading to the fire alarms being triggered was out of our control so (fingers crossed) we are still on for the March gig at the same venue! What a relief!

I’ve bought tickets to see them. I’ve seen them twice previously, though not for many years. Ironically, I listen to hardly any other hard rock bands, but got into Rush around the time of ‘Time Stand Still’, bought ‘Hold Your Fire’ and the rest is history.

Do you work on one project until “completion” and then start next, or do you work on more than one at a time? When my ears get fatigued from hearing the same thing over and over again I usually go walk the dogs or go grocery shopping. But I’m thinking maybe I should just switch to another project. I could get more done that way. Thoughts?
