For the past three months, the German government has guaranteed employee salaries through “Insolvengeld,” a safety net that provided stability while the company began its initial restructuring.
As that 90-day window closes, the transition to formal insolvency proceedings begins. This shift moves the company out of government-backed wage protection and into a phase defined by court-monitored restructuring and active negotiations with potential new owners.
