I think the only way to mark a thread as read/old is to open the thread. Each forum has a button at the top of to mark all topics as read but that is probably not what you want.

That makes sense. This actually happened over in the CW Deals forums as well. More than once, it looked like Larry was endorsing a developer and a deal when in fact he was just copying verbatum from an email he received. It is interesting that in at least one thread regarding the farewell sale over on VI-Control, people are singing Kirk’s praise. The other thread about the sale does have one of the moderators questioning the legitimacy of the sale. That is sad.
