      Is there an easy way to see all unread posts from all subscribed groups in one easy command? Similar to the other forum’s ‘Unread Content’ and ‘Mark site read’ commands which I found to be a quick way to see what is new since I last logged in… which is usually not long ago enough but still…

        @peter

        Hi @BlackJackSchellac I added a feature to mark forums and subforums read. If you mark the forums / subforums you’ve read, everything that isn’t marked is unread. Which brings me to want to see if there’s any way it could be done at the topic level. I’m guessing no, but I’ll stop back and update this post with what I find. FTR, the mark forums read functionality wasn’t in the forum platform itself, I had to find a script / plugin to do that. Which generally, what I’ve been doing. I’m already using all of the functionality in the platform itself, so everything else requires additional scripts / plugins.

          @peter
          Thanks for your hard work.

          If you mean the left blue bar in the title that turns grey when you read a post, then it doesn’t seem to work for me. I tried the mark as read and there is momentary animatin beside it to show it working, but all the blue bars stay blue. I am using the site in white mode if that has any impact.

            I didn’t realize that when I added another functionality that was requested, it knocked “mark all as read” out of service. I’ll look for a replacement.

            Otherwise, I have some minor things I’m working on, and then I need to focus on getting the back end registration, the system emails and the integration with the email service providers worked out. But I need to get back to my business tomorrow So, while I’ll be around, I won’t be as accessible. But as fas as I can know, there are no major issues with the site, just small things that don’t impact posting or commenting. The issue on the home page on mobile phones has been fixed. So, if anyone finds any new issues, please report them here. But at this time, there are no outstanding major issues, just a bunch of minor fixes or replacements for minor functionality that isn’t critical to the operation of the forum, GROUPS or messaging.

                  @BlackJackSchellac I was going through the Suggestion Box subforum and making sure that I followed up with everyone when I realized that while this thread seemed to have a happy ending, it didn’t end up with a resolution to what you were seeking. Now that I recently installed a new read / unread system. do you find that does what you were looking for? I know it’s not exactly what you asked for in the OP, but does it do the job or do you still wish for something more?

                    <p style=”text-align: left;”>It works great Peter! I have been using it with success. The only thing I probably would do is change the color of the icon a little bit, like a softer gray for read to make it even more distinguishable at a glance. In fact different colors could also be used since the letters makes it ok for color blind already.</p>

                      Thanks for sharing that. I do plan on updating the graphics. The set I took those from only had white and black. Of course,  I could make something custom,  but I have my hands in so many things…I actually tried and found Canva — and I pay the premium version– doesn’t do graphics that small (20 X 20 pixels).

                        I can’t figure out how to mark a thread read/old.

                          I think the only way to mark a thread as read/old is to open the thread. Each forum has a button at the top of to mark all topics as read but that is probably not what you want.

                          This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.
