I knew when I said to @cclarry , if I start a new music-making social media site with a forum — basically Facebook for musicians with a forum, would you come with and do your thing? And Larry said he was on board that this place would be special and work.

Now, it’s early on, we only have around 50 registrants — which if fine by me — but we’re still working on things and am not ready for public registration. But my main objective was to not lose the very special group we had over at the Cakewalk Forum. I’ve been managing digital since the 90s and been using and managing forums since around 1996. We had something very special over at that forum. Yes, it was all around our mutual sample and plugin hoarding, but what a nice, kind bunch of people. And for those who’ve shared their music in the forum — a really encouraging bunch of people. I’m already blown away by how many people I’ve really gotten to be fond of over the years — including you, Jeff — are here. While this community is still really just an infant, it’s really been turning out great. There are still a bunch of people I’d love to see here, but there are so many people I’d hope would come that made it, that I already feel like this whole thing has been a win. Maybe not financially. But certainly emotionally.
