Here is their page of freebies. The Gear Space clipper (GSat) is excellent too. It’s a little “fiddly” if you just want to clip and move on, but it has some great options too.

Thank you!  I didn’t give it a second look because I assumed it would be a paid upgrade.  I am pretty happy with Arc 4 already.

I have Vocalign 5 and it’s great. You select a guide track, then sync the others to it. It looks like MTracks does something similar. They are keeping it in Beta for awhile longer, so are still working on it. Here are instructions on how to use it.

I just pulled up MWaveshaperMB last night and put it on a programmed drum bus last night, and WOW! I did it just out of curiosity, and went through the preset devices… Honestly, I was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised!

I am played with a lot of the new features, but one thing I noticed on this last update was that it automatically hides duplicate plugins now. I will sometimes install BOTH the VST2 and VST3 plugins, in case the VST3 doesn’t work. Then go through the list and hide the VST2s. Now S1 does that automagically! Great improvement that I didn’t know I wanted so badly!

Well, just about anything! It’s really that versatile. When I’m just looking for a reverb sound, this is one of the ones I go to. It’s got a lot of presets, and the randomization is pretty cool too. If you find one you like, you can “zoom in” on the randomizing by using the other die icon. (At least in the big one, I’m not sure about this one.) I liked the CM one originally because it limited your options more.

As for your question, the uses that come to mind were on a “vintage” vocal.  Also the Rooms are pretty good. I’ll cycle through presets until I like one, then tweak from there.

I was all over this when it came out. The Dev said he ran a super computer for 3 days churning out algorythms, then picked the best ones for the plugin.  Good stuff!

I don’t think Total Studio Max is a part of the BOGO deal, but you can pick it up for about $90 at IK with Jam Points.  Heads up though, Total Studio Max 4 does have the latest versions of plugins like Arc 4 or T-Racks6 – if that matters to you.

Are you sure the Consoles are part of it? If you scroll down to the Compare table, Audio Batch Converter (Extension) is definitely included with the perpetual licence. But Pro+ Effects Plug-ins including all MixFX is only included with the subscriptions – I’m not sure if the Consoles are considered MixFX plugins.

You’re right! I had thought the Mix Effects were included in the perpetual option, but I stand corrected. From your page: “Pro+ Effects Plug-ins including all MixFx”are clearly NOT a part of the perpetual license, so I guess you lose access when your subscription ends.

I wonder what happens to the MixFX I already own?  I see they are “sold out” in the store.  Not a deal breaker, just another unclear annoyance.

I do however appreciate being able to keep my perpetual license…

Let’s see:

VCL-864U – Michael Brauer uses/used this one. I had to buy it so I could mix like him. Barely used it so far but looking forward to digging in.

Flywheel and VCL-4 both sound really good to me. Flywheel is nicer on the cpu than a lot of other tape emus I’ve tried.

Just got the DrumsSSX hoping to have found a secret weapon for dealing with bleed on acoustic kits. A few quick tries and it sounded “ok”, but I need to spend more time and try other material to see if it will work out. A little cpu heavy for multiple instances.

VSC-1 – I have been thinking about this one for while and just couldn’t pass up paying $15 for yet another channel strip I think will be great but never use.

VCL-25A – I have to say this is my current favorite and is on my parallel vocal for warmth and density.

Just one guy’s observations.   🙂    I have a few others too…

I picked it up recently at this price. I held out for many years because it always seemed too expensive to me. But people swear by it, so I thought I’d finally pick it up and I’m glad I did.  It’s basically a “wave shaper” and there’s a guy that figured out he could do the same thing with Melda’s MWaveShaper in their FREE bundle.  I think the Preset is even in there.  That said though, there’s a lot to be said for workflow and usability.  🙂

FWIW, I like VerbSuiteClassics – a LOT, which is why I bought the three LiquidSonics verbs above last year during this sale.  With all the love these get, I had high expectations.  One year on, I haven’t even really used Reverberate3 other than when I picked it up. I was expecting to instantly love Seventh Heaven, but only reach for it sometimes. (I need to spend more time with it.)  The surprise for me was Tai Chi which I really like. IMHO it is a no-brainer at $29.  You have to scroll down the Tai Chi page to see the cheaper version Tai Chi Lite.

Admittedly, I need to spend more time with all of these, but I’m not feeling a real urgency to jump up to the much pricier versions though.

It’s interesting how the plugin devs (and consumers) seem to get Obsessed with a certain style of plugin for awhile, then move on to the next. It was vintage compressors for a long time, then reverbs, then saturation, then tape emulations and various other sorts of distortion. I wonder what will be next? 🤔

Someone on CW put together a spreadsheet that pointed out the cheapest way to level up these plugins because the more you own, the bigger your discount because the discount codes stack. I ended up picking up a few last year and was thinking I’d do the same this year, but I’m spending out a new PC so my funds are very limited.

The one I’ve been using most in Tai Chi. Seventh Heaven gets a lot of love too.
