Nice, very nice. I’m an RC-20 fan. Although I haven’t used it very much, it’s one of those tools that when I want what it does, it’s unrivaled.

Soundfonts are not entirely dead.

When I want to use them, I use sforzando. Garritan Personal Orchestra’s Aria player is a modified version of it.

The factory soundbanks include a pretty useful Mellotron. Used to be my go to before I got SampleTron 2.

Thanks for the heads-up, I wasn’t aware of this new plug-in. I must try it on drum tracks.

Demos are our friends, and MeldaProduction lets you use a plug-in with no restrictions for a couple of weeks before it switches to noise burst protection.

Not a popular opinion around here I guess, but I plan to continue to use Sonar until I can’t any more. However that may come about.

Won’t be investing in a BandLab membership. If they offer a perpetual license for Sonar, I might purchase one of those.

I hope some people picked up on this. I happily paid $49 for it.

Absolute best to me is MeldaProduction’s Meldway Grand.

Same company’s free Monastery Grand is pretty great, esp. considering the price.

After that, the venerable Pianissimo from Acoustica still gets the occasional play. Very light on resources.

Yeah, not having a disaster recovery plan is a bozo n00b mistake in this day and age.

For anyone still interested in this, it’s now up and working.

So Brian and (presumably) FineAlly got emails with the license code, Fretman, Teebacca, and I got emails with no license code.

I went as far as examining the email messages’ raw source code.

My guess is that they underestimated how many people would want to check this thing out and whatever range they chose, the license code generator ran out.…Read More

So far I’ve 3 different email addresses from 3 different domains, tried viewing them with 2 different browsers, plus a standalone email client, and I still can’t get an email message with any license code I can see.

I finally got a response by giving them my Gmail address, but the response I got had no license code:

I gave them my name and email 2 different times, got nothing. Then tried contacting their support and no answer from them either.

I’ll give it a shot with another email address. Maybe they don’t like Yahoo.

I had it wrong, the serial DOES unlock the T-RackS 6 version.

To get it to work I had to click on the “Buy” button in the plug-in UI, log in at IK Multimedia, then hit refresh in IK Product Manager.

Gotta love IK Multimedia….
