UPDATE: Melodicle is presently in beta and in between updates at the moment. A new release is coming soon for our first game made specifically for music creators!
THE CHALLENGE: Create a short piece of music, as short as 8 bars, an original or cover song, primarily using free sample libraries and plugins, with no more than one paid sample library/plugin instrument.
This is a challenge for ourselves to make music; it is not a competition. That said, I have had a couple of developers offer to give away plugins/sample libraries as prizes if we can make this a success.

I’m including my own submission, an 8-bar improvised piece based on Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star I made late last night. Each track is a first take, with the exception of the bass part, as I did three takes and used the one I liked best. It took me around 20 minutes to complete the entire piece. It primarily uses free sample libraries/plugins with only one paid sample library: Orange Tree Samples Evolution Jazz Archtop.
