The Next Milestone: Scaling LinkedMusicians 2.0 for Growth

UPDATE: THE LINKEDMUSICIANS FORUMS WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL JUNE 30, 2026. 

As the recent LinkedMusicians Annual Giveaway comes to a close, we are preparing to transition into LinkedMusicians 2.0. I wanted to share some data-driven insights about exactly where we are and where we are heading:

• The Power of the Deal Hub: LinkedMusicians has seen its greatest success as a destination for the digital audio tools market. We have seen as many as 20,000+ monthly unique visitors come here primarily for the deals we track, followed closely by our curated free sample library recommendations.
• A Permanent Home for Deep-Dive Resources: The website will continue to provide depth on issues that matter to music creators—like our PowerSEARCH tools, Native Instruments Insolvency Hub, our QuickGuides—and tools like the Songwriter’s Toolbox and Scale Finder. It also remains a place where we highlight and promote the original music created by our members.
• Lowering the Barrier to Entry: We are moving the “active” daily deal-sharing to our Subreddit. The entry barrier is dramatically lower—a single click for someone already on Reddit. This frictionless setup allows our community to grow at a significantly faster pace than is possible on the LinkedMusicians site.
• Community-Led Momentum: We saw a massive resurgence in traffic over the last seven days, increasing by 75% week over week. That uptick was primarily driven by deal posting from our volunteers.
• Next Steps and Timeline: To focus our energy on this new growth, the current forums on the LinkedMusicians website will remain open for new posts until JUNE 30th. After that, the site will transition into a permanent, searchable Resource Hub. I encourage everyone to head over to the LinkedMusicians subreddit, r/LinkedMusicians today to get registered. LinkedMusicians site no longer accepts new registrations, but directs visitors to the LinkedMusicians subdreddit where they can register.

The Leadership Team

I will be shifting away from day-to-day deal posting to focus on overall project oversight. To ensure our values of transparency and platform neutrality continue, the Subreddit will be moderated by Katchi, BluesCat, and JoeGYork. We are counting on their leadership to keep the community moving forward in this new space.

I want to take a special moment to recognize Katchi (AKA lamia6). While many have contributed to LinkedMusicians, Katchi has put in an incredible amount of time and effort—more than anyone else—to help improve and sustain this platform. She will continue to play a vital role in the future of LinkedMusicians, here and with the LinkedMusicians subreddit. While I built the site, it was Katchi who helped take it to the next level and continues to be a critical partner in this project.

I have never wanted LinkedMusicians to be based on a single person’s personality; it has always been about the betterment of the community. With our team ensuring our core values are lived every day, the future of the platform is in your hands.
