8Dio has released yet another free sample library. And this one is quite different.

It’s a library of cat sounds. Yes, the sounds of a domesticated cat. So many questions, while it’s a free library, I still want the artist, Fellini, to be compensated (e.g., cat treats, cat nip, an extra scratching post, etc.). To my fellow animal lovers in the group, this one sounds like a lot of fun.

But 8Dio / SoundPaint is recognized for their ultra-realistic deep sampled libraries. Was Fellini deep sampled? And how many hours would it take to make a deep-sampled library of cat sounds??? I must know! On a more serious note, I’m wondering if this will be available for SoundPaint in the future, as there are a bunch of things I think that would be fun to do with these sounds in SoundPaint that I’m not sure are even possible in Kontakt.

I’m not sure if I should be mentioning this, but I noticed that 8Dio’s CEO, Tawnia, recently registered at LinkedMusicians, so I’d love to hear from her to answer these hard-hitting questions I have! 😉
