Does anyone know yet if one purchases the upgrade from SO6 to Studio One 7 will the one year license be activated at the purchase date of SO7 or when one chooses to activate it?

Scenario #1 — I purchased SO6 Hybrid + one year version back in June 2024.  My SO6 has a one year license that I can renew or choose not to renew in Jun 2025.   If I were to purchase an Upgrade one year perpetual license to SO7 in October 2024 when the new SO7 launches, can I wait until June 2025 when SO6 expires to activate/register the new SO7–which would result in the SO7 license lasting until June 2026.  So, the question is:  can one wait and activate the upgrade next summer and the SO7 would be good for a year from that Activation date.

OR

Scenario #2— Does the SO7 one year becomes active immediately at purchase date (not when it is registered or activated) in October and the license only lasts till October 2025?

This may have already been addressed and I just did not see it.  I hope that we can activate whenever we wish to and the SO7 will last 1 year from activation date not from purchase date.
