Well, if we can believe MusicSoftwareDeals* (the short answer is: we really can’t believe them; see the note below for an explanation), the historical lowest price for Cube was $75 at Plugin Boutique on 29/11/2024. While that’s not a trustworthy source, it may be the best source we have. I think we can say that this is possibly the lowest price ever for Cube, and if it’s ever been lower., Unless someone in our community purchased it at a lower price, we’re probably not going to know. I also own the lite version (I bought it fairly soon after it was released, and one month later, Plugin Boutique gave it away as a freebie with a purchase!), and this is the best price that I can recall.

The price might have been lower than at the developer’s website or at any retailer that MSD doesn’t have an affiliate relationship with or any retailer that uses affiliate codes which doesn’t factor in MSD’s price history database. FTR, I have contemplated having a price comparison section on LM — and I still might still do so. I just went so far over my budget with this site, that I needed to delay some things. It would easily add several hundred to more than $1,000 in initial costs to the site and several hundred dollars in maintenance fees (updates and service contract) with the developer I’ve identified. The odds are good that I’ll add it in 2026. If I do, the price history will be superior to the method used by MSD and include the ACTUAL LOWEST PRICES on popular plugins and libraries, including discount codes wherever possible.

*Spoiler alert: you really shouldn’t believe the lowest price shown at MusicSoftwareDeals, as their data is limited to retailers they have affiliate relationships, and doesn’t include final prices with discount codes like AudioDeluxe and JRR Shop regularly do. Now, understand that when I share those facts, I have a relationship with the same folks that own that because they also own Audio Plugin Deals (also VST Buzz, Pulse Audio, and I forgot the name of the plugin developer shop they own as well as a bunch of small developers’ libraries that sold to them like Kirk Hunter Studios, Rigid Audio, etc.). I say this not because I’m being censored. I’m trying to communicate that my sharing that info could easily damage the relationship with that business, but I prioritize informing the community over worrying about muzzling facts or opinions to appease these businesses. That’s something you really don’t see with affiliates and my volume is small enough where they could easily pull me. If they did, oh well.
