I have Collector’s Edition 13, but there isn’t much in CE 15 that interests me.
Can I update to Komplete 15 Standard and then at a later date (probably in June 2027) still upgrade my CE 13 to CE 16?
I know I can buy the “lesser” update, but I’m unsure if it disqualifies me from future updates.
I really just want Kontakt 8, but my understanding is that it doesn’t usually go for sale on its own.
Based on my memory of NI answering this question in the past on, I believe, their forum, as long as your CE version qualifies for the update pricing for the next CE update you want, you’re fine. In other words, if you own CE 13, but buy Komplete 15 standard, when CE 16 is released, as long as the update pricing applies to CE 13, you will qualify (and their update pricing goes back really far, so I wouldn’t be concerned about even skipping a few versions).
