I wouldn’t fall into despair about this. Think of it this way, NI did some big acquisitions over the past several years and things didn’t pan out as they hoped. This gives them time to pay off their debts and restructure. Their debtors don’t want to see NI go under and then not see even a small fraction of what was owed. NI could be bought by another company, but I think that’s unlikely at this time. It’s much more likely that NI will sell off the businesses/brands / product lines that didn’t integrate and succeed, which will give them the cash they need to operate and pay their bills. Right now, it’s all about how well they manage and navigate through this process.
