I wanted to create a Christmas themed instrument for the holidays, but I didn’t want to make something that had already been made dozens of times before. I came up with the idea of taking jingle bells, one of the most classic Christmas sounds, but turn it to something unexpected.

I recorded both jingle bells and tambourine shakes, added long reverb and EQ and ended up with pad sound with interesting character. Althought this instrument is inspired by Christmas, it fits well to many different genres. It has mystical, magical quality that works create in cinematic or fantasy-like atmosphere, among many other moods.
