Fleer, if you only knew! My kids constantly kid me about oversharing everything. You know that I’d love to tell everyone. But I’ve ran affiliate programs for a major brand. If you violate an embargo agreement, you’re forever out of their program. I can criticize the heck out of anything they sell and still not get kicked out of their program. If I violated the embargoed release — which is basically like an informal NDA; you don’t get sued if you leak the details, but you will permanently end your relationship — that would be the end of my relationship with PB. I’m a small affiliate and the PB program has been the best hope of my being able to not have to continue to pour my own money into this site but have it be self-sufficient.

What I will say is that I buy way too much of this stuff, and you buy even more stuff than me (I know because you own pretty much everything I want and don’t own)! Consequently, I think the odds are good that you own one of the freebies. In fact, I’m pretty sure that you once recommended one of them to someone (in a post). There’s one that I am not completely sure you own, but if you don’t already own it, you’re definitely going to want it. I own every freebie and I paid for each of them. I don’t believe any of these have ever been free with purchase anywhere prior to this month. Finally, I’ll share this. they’re from some of my favorite plugin developers and are absolutely great plugins; I don’t think that anyone here would disagree with that. There are no meh plugins on the list. The big question is whether we plugin hoarders already own these.

To give an idea of how much LM is raking in on affiliate sales, this is how much we brought in today, Saturday, from Plugin Boutique (they send out emails for each sale):

A lot of folks will strip out the affiliate part of a link. Fortunately, some of the posters at Cakewalk Forum sometimes don’t strip out the affiliate code when they take posts from LM and it is funny when the reports I get show that a sale is credited to Cakewalk Forum! It’s happened multiple times although it’s only grossed at total of $12. According to one of the most reliable third-party sources for site traffic, the Cakewalk Discuss Forum sees far less than 25,000 unique visitors per month and my guess is that their deals forum only gets a couple thousand unique visitors in a month at best and based on the views shown on their deals forum.
