PETER’S TAKE: This should probably be a no-brainer deal for anyone looking for choirs and owning Kontakt. Consider that the Insolidus choir alone lists at $598. They are legends in the sampling world for creating ultra-realistic hyper-detailed sample libraries that Troels calls “deep sampled.” But I think the greatest thing they 8Dio / SoundPaint has done for the non-big-name composers is to be a major price disruptor in the industry. They’ve taken a lot of bullets and arrows for that, especially by a competitor/forum owner who has made dozens of public f-bomb dropping rants about their “leading the race to the bottom” by dropping prices, in his opinion too far, but by doing that, they made what was once far out of many music creators’ budgets affordable.
