Malwarebytes is excellent, I use it too. But it often can give false positives. The dev is legit, but he could have been hacked or it could be a false positive. I would defer to the IT pros in the community (I am certainly not one! I turn to smart friends). @jorge is a computer scientist. If he’s around, I would certainly trust his judgment. Musicman, Doug, and Lamia6 are also IT pros.

Hey!

Quick answer… I have Chorus since October 2022, but I haven’t never used.

In my case, I have not received any warning from my system.

I can not point more, but the antivirus didn’t receive any message either.

After this, I have used a tool online to check the files (exe and dmg), and for both, 0 warnings.

72 antivirus for the exe file, and 60 antivirus for the dmg file.

So, in this case, I think that it is secure, but as always I say… “In theory and after the checks used is safe”
