Cars (Gary Numan Cover)

I did this cover three years ago, shortly after I started attempting to play music again, 20 years after tendinitis stopped me from playing. I picked this song to entertain my son who was then taking driving lessons. I was never lead singer material — I didn’t even pick me to sing any songs in three bands that I led. But these days, I’m the best I could get.

BTW, I just added a future feature to this site’s roadmap I think you’ll like. I’m going to feature songs posted here from group members in the right hand side panel, so people are more likely to check it out. (I’ll avoid putting my own stuff in there, as people have heard enough of me, I’m sure and will no doubt, get burnt out; I’ll just point people to other members music). If you go to the forum pages, you’ll see that @bajanblue ‘s music is there in the right hand side panel, in an embedded Spotify Player. Now, I don’t think we can do this with YouTube, but when I get this function set up, I’ll put a stick ip in this section so everyone who posts songs here can put it into a format that permits me to feature their music around the site.  This really gets at my rationale for creating this site — I wanted to take everyone beyond deals and provide an atmosphere where we encouraged and supported each other.

Yep, that’s it. I might have used a synth that came with NI Komplete too. It’s been around 3 years, so I’m not totally sure. But I know that the basis of what I was using where the Hollow Sun libraries Stephen gave away free where he referenced Gary Numan’s Cars — so I always thought that would be a super easy song to cover and when my son signed up for driving school, I thought it was the perfect time to do that cover.
