I’ve long contemplated buying these in past sales for more than twice this price. My only hesitation is that they would have very limited use for me. Although, they would be great to just play around with. I was playing one of my favorite songs, “God Only Knows” just a little while ago, and I could imagine using these on the instrumental bridge.

Like every other pop song, it’s really simple, of course. But, the chords with the melody that Brian Wilson came up with are pure magic.

As much as I’ve loved that song since I was a kid, I’ve never played it until this evening (for sentimental reasons, of course). I’d strongly recommend it. It’s really satisfying to play on the piano and sing along with. You’ll have an increased appreciation for the song after that. I don’t want to get a C&D letter, so I’ll just copy the  chords for the song below. But I would recommend trying it. It sounds soooo good.

nice sounds but I found a review which says like cattaneo piano has weird velocity that is like

there is no middle touch tone but only soft and hard touch so you feel gap when you play.

how do you think about it?

@atu First, as this is your first post here, welcome to LinkedMusicians. Second, where did you see this review? Can you share a link?

After seeing your post, I ran a search, and, after that didn’t yield any journalist (non-influencer/non-compensated) reviews, or then looked at a couple of influencer “reviews,” but didn’t find anyone who had that criticism. I ran a sentiment analysis that analyzed comments from the most popular music-making related online forums and groups on the big social media platforms. There was no mention of velocity problems. The closest any comments found in the analysis were user criticism that there weren’t “advanced articulations,” and some commentators found “minor bugs or glitches, such as GUI inconsistencies or issues with effect parameters.”

I generally am not a fan of influencer “reviews” and that is one of my motivations for creating this community— to remove the influence of compensated parties and developer contractors going undercover to pose as regular community members (a practice the developer community is well aware of that repeatedly occurs at VI-Control with certain developers) — but I really enjoyed this influencer’s playthrough of the patches of the Cattaneo Pianos, as I’m contemplating buying this bundle.

He says a big gap but I’m wondering such a big gap happens to 10GB library? Hmmm

 

I also searched Vi-control/KVR but didn’t find any remark to this library..
