The way layout for this is fixed and would require custom development to do something like that. I’m not a developer so I have been using a combination of open source scripts/plugins where they exist and commercial/paid plugins. I simply couldn’t afford to hire someone on for customization like that even if I really wanted it. It’s just beyond my meager budget.

Interesting idea. What forum platform does that? I can keep my eyes open, but I’m not aware of a plugin that does that.

I am using a plugin for the current capability, but I definitely am keeping my eyes open on this one to see if there’s a better implementation (again a plugin) I can find. I’ve done a ton of research on these tools — including for uploading images — and took the one option I could find. But I’m certainly still interested in this one.

This is something I wanted from the beginning that I’m sure we would all expect would be part of the forum platforum, but isn’t. The only plugin I could find is 13 years old which predates the most recent version of the forum platform — by a lot — and represents security risks and conflicts with other scripts being used on the site. Nonetheless, I still tried it. It didn’t work. But again, I’m keeping my eyes out. As this is more of a feature we’re used to, but not a critical feature, I really would love to have it. So if I end up finding something, I will certainly implement it.

I wanted to update this thread @Satya because you’ve made some recommendations that are definitely areas I think we can make improvements. So I specifically have made progress on items 3 and 4:

I recently added functionality to this. Let me know if you like it or not.

4.add no of views  per post
I now have a staging site to test scripts / plugins and various changes to the site out on before taking them live. I have been testing out adding the number of views per post and it appears to work well. I anticipate that that we can introduce this feature by the time open the site up to public registration.
