I was watching Simeon do a demo on Slower which has a “fragment” version (just one of the several instruments). I went to the e-Instruments sites and listened to Desolate because I love twangy reverb drenched tremolo guitar (Twin Peaks, Duane Eddy etc). I might bite on getting the rest of the plugin. It’s very playable which is not always the case with guitar VST’s.

While I only have the free Slower Fragment version, I own several e-instruments libraries. While they don’t have the great detail of some Kontakt developers libraries, e-instruments really are great at making very playable instruments with extensive, easy to use controls. I think that is their greatest strength, creating user interfaces and controls that make it really easy to control their libraries. I think most developers can learn a lot from them.

Is their Session Horns the same that comes with Komplete?
The interface looks the same to me. I have it in the Komplete bundle but only installed the “Pro” version. Also, on the e-Instruments info page they say that it was developed in partnership with NI. I know some other partners like Audio Imperia are able to sell their NI branded stuff (Kithara) directly.
Is their Session Horns the same that comes with Komplete?
Yes, e-instruments makes the Session Horns regular and pro versions and Session Strings regular and pro versions for NI.
