Crossgrade from FAST to Somible learn:bundle ONLY 24.50€

I own FAST and put in a question to the folks at Sonible if they had a crossgrade offer for customers who purchased Focusrite FAST to move to their LEARN bundle. They answered that if I could supply a receipt to show that I purchased the bundle, they would extend crossgrade pricing of 24.50€ ($28.65). I asked them if I could share this in a post at LinkedMuscians and they told me that I could. Here’s their message:

“As you may know, the FAST plug-ins (originally developed by sonible for Focusrite) were discontinued about a year ago. Rather than letting them gather dust, we took the core concept and rebuilt them into the new LEARN series – featuring an all-new interface, enhanced processing and a slightly stronger focus on helping users build their mixing skills.

Since FAST was a Focusrite product, we don’t have access to their customer data and therefore can’t offer a formal cross-grade. However, we internally view the LEARN series as a kind of “v2.0” of the original FAST tools – and we decided to offer something extra to previous FAST users who are interested in continuing their journey with us:

If you own one or more FAST plug-ins, just send us a quick proof of ownership (e.g. invoice or confirmation email) and we’ll provide a 50% discount on top of the current intro price, bringing the full learn:bundle down to just 24.50 EUR.”

NOTE: I’m going to tag @fleer because he once posted that he has FAST and wished that Sonible had a crossgrade deal to their new bundle. For some reason, while I forget people’s names within minutes and can’t recall what I had for lunch two days ago, I can remember your posts and plugins you’ve shared that you own, Fleer!

I’m debating whether to do the crossgrade. There are some improvements and I can’t help but wonder if we’ll get another chance to move to the learn bundle so inexpensively (probably yes, but it’s uncertain). I don’t blame Sonible, we purchased FAST from Focusrite. I don’t know how Sonible was compensated (whether they got a flat fee or a fee + royalties). I think their offer is generous. But I definitely get your point of view.
