NOTE: I can’t deny that I’m disappointed to see BPB and Rekkerd turn from blogs with a passion for making music to blogs about their owners’ passion for making money. I wish they would get back to being fun to read publications about making music in your home-based studio instead of prioritizing making as much money as possible.They’ve merely become pure influencer outlets designed to promote products for developers.

Once these publications became popular, the original bloggers did everything they could to cash in on the traffic. Yes, I get it, that most people would do the same thing. But it took what was really special and enjoyable about these blogs and turned it into money-making machines that, IMO, lost their way. Again, being super candid, I only keep track of them (and I look at all of this stuff using a scraper that monitors more than a dozen sites in order to stay up on deals and what’s new in the industry) because I’m posting deals. If it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t be reading them anymore.
