If you could only listen to the music of one band or solo artist for the rest of your life, who would you choose?

It’s okay to give multiple choices. For example, while my definitive pick would be The Beatles. However, I could also have said Led Zeppelin or Radiohead, artists with deep catalogues that cover lots of musical ground. Other contenders include Steely Dan, Yes, Genesis, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis.

          I am with @patrickwichrowski

My vote goes for Evángelos Odysséas Papathanassíou, known as Vangelis

If this were a competition, Vangelis would have a strong lead!

Its a fight between Schubert, Kraftwerk and Peter Gabriel…

I think Peter wins for always listening, the other require the right mood…

I could be good with Peter Gabriel. He’s absolutely one of my favorite artists. I even have an autographed Peter Gabriel album that my wife got for me many years ago. IMO, he’s an artist who has consistently produced excellent music throughout his career. I know that Dave Kerzner, who toured as part of the opening act with Peter for a tour, said he was also one of the nicest famous artists that he’s ever known.

It would probably have to be Vaughan Williams for me though closely followed by Sibelius, Pink Floyd and Home Service ( an English folk / rock / brass band formed in the 70’s and resurrected over the last few years – the original version was led by my favourite male vocalist ever, John Tams, who is also a very lovely man. They only have a limited amount of output – primarily the sublime Alright Jack album so I’d go for the larger output of the orchestral titans)

Hard to pick just one, but I would have to go with Reol. Multi genre from anime to vocaloid styles, pop, dance and rock, she writes, composes, produces, sings, plays instruments. I’m never not in the mood to listen to her, likely the best youtube recommendation I ever had.

Well, I’d have to go with the Beatles.  After that a very obscure band from South Africa back in the 70’s named “The Flame”.  Then cult favorite “Big Star” from just up the road in Memphis.  If there are any Big Star fans here I actually saw them in their last live show at The University of Mississippi, October 1972.
