If you enjoy LinkedMusicians and want to see it continue in 2026, please consider contributing to its operation.

We’ve had more than $3,000 USD in costs since we launched in 2024, and have only raised a total of around $60 in contributions. The affiliate links are certainly helping, but still don’t come close to bringing in enough money to cover our ongoing costs (script/plugins, maintenance/developer contracts, web hosting, security services, and email services). I promised my family that I would only financially support LinkedMusicians for the first year, and after that, turn to the community to fund it. We are now in the second year.

I expect that as we hit the middle to Q4 of next year (2026), we may have enough traffic to justify offering advertising on the site. Even so, it may still not provide enough revenue to cover the cost of operating the site and email. For those who ask, Google ads doesn’t make sense for a site with the amount of traffic we have. When we achieve an appropriate traffic level that appeals to advertisers, I will permit RELEVANT ads from developers. FTR, when we do allow advertising, I will ensure that it will not harm the user experience, as I find some forums have become littered with ads, damaging the user experience, and significantly increasing page load times.
