NOTE: I’ve been watching Just Add Drums sample libraries and this is a fantastic price. I’m not sure if I want a Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit sounding drum kit sample library, but I’m strongly leaning towards this. I have Just Add Drums’ free kit and like it.

This pack is inspired by Nirvana’s game-changing second album—a moment in music history where grunge’s raw intensity collided with the slick, polished production of the ’90s. Built for power, punch, and crystal-clear impact, these stadium-shaking drums are designed to cut through even the heaviest guitar walls. Get ready to unleash pure, unfiltered energy.

Just Add Drums have carefully recreated the signature reverbs used by Andy Wallace, who mixed the Nevermind album. The Lexicon 480L and Lexicon PCM90 reverbs are emulated on dedicated faders, along with an additional white noise layer in the snare reverb—just as Andy used in his mixes. These are labelled Short and Long Verb.

They’ve also included two extra microphones for added versatility – a Shure Beta 91A ơn the Kick which is labeled condenser and a Beyerdynamic M201 on the Snare Top which is labelled dynamic 2. These mics weren’t used on the original Nevermind recording but add extra tonal options to the library.

This premium Kontakt instrument offers a streamlined master section for quick access, while also allowing deep customisation of individual elements—including Kick, Snare, Toms, and Cymbals. Take full control over every microphone channel to shape your perfect drum sound.
