Loopmasters and Loopcloud Have Been Sold [Industry News]

Plugin Boutique have sold Loopmasters and Loopcloud. It’s been reported from various sources, but I just received an email directly from Loopmasters, confirming that the sale did indeed take place.

It’s interesting to see an acquisition going back to the original seller in an age where there’s been a lot of acquisitions due to the growth of the digital audio production market. FTR, as a small affiliate of Plugin Boutique, they’ve been really nice to deal with, and as I don’t really spend much time with loops, I tend not to post too many loop-related deals, so this doesn’t impact me much; I’m primarily interested in Plugin Boutique.

I liked Loopmaster’s sample manager. I was just not interested in having to have a subscription in order to use it.

This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.

I never liked it when they changed to needing a subscription for their sample manager, so I just reinstalled the latest version before that change. You did lose some functionality, but it was still pretty good for local samples.

I must’ve been a “try for 1 month” Loopcloud subscriber so many times because of them, yet never used a single loop. Just like the 99% of us.
