I am a customer of this small Kontakt developer and really like his work. 75% off with the code “57varieties” at checkout.
His “Truck Drums” library does a fantastic sound of capturing a very authentic John Bonham vibe. It’s a no-brainer with the code at $4.75 USD. They are a blast to play, with my only criticism is that the ride and crash cymbal are mapped to the same key (it’s a crash ride cymbal). Even so, it’s a very cool library and a total steal at this price. I’m also pondering picking up his Extended Glockenspiel (I use to play the glockenspiel as a kid and I’ve picked up a lot of glockenspiel sample libraries, but this one is unique and sounds great).

“I use to play the glockenspiel as a kid”I have to admit that is a sentence I never expected to see in my life. Surely this is an omen of some sort.
Hahaha! When it comes to sample libraries and instrument plugins, I tend to have a strong affinity for instruments I’ve played in real life like piano, organ, glockenspiel, drums, percussion, etc.
Okay, I played the glockenspiel in rehearsal with the school band once or twice to fill in for the kid who usually played when he was out. My primary instrument was the snare drum. I fell in love with the sound of the glockenspiel, but the band director wouldn’t let me switch. I believe we had one at my house (my mother was a musician and music teacher). Back when I was a kid, I would take a multi track reel to reel recorder and a multi-track cassette recorder and bounce tracks, playing the various instruments. Basically, the same thing I now do with a DAW, but today, I’m using MIDI controllers with sample libraries and soft synths.
