Somewhere in Asia a billionaire trust fund kid just threw a champagne glass against the wall, and yelled at his assistant.

I noticed two things recently regarding what the guy uses his company and publications to do. (1) Wookiee towing the company line and making a less than honest post that Presonus isn’t any good without the subscription and that Presonus is just like BandLab but has devalued their perpetual license version so greatly that it’s not worth getting (it was the most disingenuous and poorly crafted propaganda statement I saw in at least an hour). It sincerely is disappointing to see someone I’ve liked so much so easily sell out to a company that doesn’t even respect him enough to pay him. (2) I read an article in trust fund boy’s magazine trashing Presonus. So clearly, if a volunteer for one of his companies and one of his publications are pushing the same narrative, it’s a strategy, not a coincidence.

But I think the Microsoft news is GOOD NEWS for consumers.

If you have 5 people that need multiple copies for their laptop and home desktops the Office 365 annual family plan for Office software is reasonable. I figured out over time (we usually upgraded by the 4-5th year) that $20 per year per user was reasonable. Not sure how much it’s increased the past couple of years.
